CAMP!!! CAMP!!! CAMP!!!

Summer Camp registration is open for campers and volunteers!

Teen Extreme Adventure Camp- A Brand New Program

We will stretch our offerings to our older campers by unrolling Teen Extreme Adventure Camp this summer. This co-ed program will be offered in conjunction with Camp Kudzu and will have a slightly different look than the "regular" week of Camp Kudzu. Campers and staff will head out of camp after spending a day or so on site to go whitewater rafting the Ocoee River, journey on a short hike, engage in a trail ride by horseback, a round or two of paintball, and end the day around the campfire.

Campers check in during the opening day of the regular Camp Kudzu session and use the respective facility as a base camp. On Tuesday, the group will then travel to Copperhill, TN and return to the Camp Kudzu base camp at the end of the week for the camp music party and pick up/check out the following day.

This program is available to campers currently in the 9th and 10th grade. Applicants must apply via our paper application.

The 2011 Spring Family Camp application is now available. Family Camps often fill up quick - register today!

Welcome to Families and Children New to Diabetes

Hundreds of children are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in Georgia each year. It is a privilege for our staff and our volunteers to meet families and children who are newly diagnosed at clinics, "Beyond Basics" classes and at Camp Kudzu's programs. Please call us if we can help or offer a program to someone you know. We have saved space at summer camp for those who are diagnosed in the spring. We also have family camp and other gatherings that are great for ending the sense of isolation and worry that many of us had when we first "joined the diabetes club"
